If your looking for a top notch facility, it would be very hard to beat the Ridgeway Rifle Club in Ridgeway PA.
Range goes to 1000 yds with numerous distances between. Lots of very good roof covered benches, prone would work also.
Members are permitted to use the facilities every day all day there isn't a match.
First year membership is $50 and $35 a year there after. They have a website.
He wants to shoot 1760 yards....

There is a 1 mile shoot 1st Saturday of the month in Lincoln AR that I attend. Most 1 mile shooting you need property. Easy to shoot 1 mile out west. A lot harder the further east you go.
A lot of places in Utah, New Mexico, Kansas, lol!! At least when I drove thru there I saw a lot of places. Out around the Flint Hills in Kansas you could set up targets your bullets wouldn't reach!! LOL!! Now, it most likely wasn't a "rifle range" but seems the only things that would have been complaining were gophers, maybe some birds. They have a 1250 yard range in Chapel Hill, Tennessee. Strategic Edge I believe but closed to public, member only and has a two year waiting list I believe. I've heard of some others in Tennessee that were 1000 but didn't get details. I have not heard of any "mile" shoots in Tennessee but I don't converse much with people so I wouldn't be the best source of information on that.

I looked up the closes ranges to me and I had to extend the search range to 1,000 Miles. Have to drive three states over to find an "official" one.
I think I'll just drive the 175 miles to an "unofficial" range in the midst of some Bureau of Reclamation land in the Eastern part of our state. Range limited to how far you want to "hump targets" or drive out with a quad. Nothing but sagebrush with basalt cliff's as a backdrop. Just need to watch for the rattlesnakes.
Sounds like the real deal to me. A few strategicly placed rocks wont ever walk away or need gathering up after a session either, ending the hump part.
Remember a pick, shovel, and some pruning gear on the first visit to tune up the shooting location.
Pick open areas for the targets if possible, so seeing (ahem) the close misses is easier, rather than high grass or brush eating them up.
Of coarse if measuring group size is important to you, then targets are required.
