Hi! I purchased my first Savage rifle, a model 110 package gun in .270Win way back in 1996 when I was about 14/15 years old (well, I guess I should say my MOM made the purchase) . I really like it and recently decided I wanted a smaller caliber one to complement it. I was able to pick up a 12FV with a 26" heavy barrel in .223 for $369. It's sporting a SWFA fixed 10x right now and I've been enjoying the heck out of shooting it. I've only had it to the range twice but I've been very pleased with it so far.
Dont have a full size glamour shot yet, but here's a picture.
Also, here's the first (and so far only...) 200yd group I shot with it. I didnt know what to expect when I was pulling the trigger so I believe I can tighten this up quite a bit with fairly minimal effort.
