    Scope Rings for 10 FCP-SR

Hey guys. I have the latest 10 FCP-SR and am keeping the factory 0MOA base. I have a Vortex Viper HST 6-24x50mm riflescope. The objective bell radius is 28.7mm. I can't find the official dimension for the rail height. My calipers stopped working so my crude estimation for the mount height is roughly 3/8" (9.53mm) from the barrel. I am also looking to add Butler Creek flip up covers, add about 2.5mm to the equation. The rings I am considering are Seekins/Vortex Precision Matched 30mm Tube Rings .87" high (22.1mm). From my hand calc: 9.53+22.1-28.7-2.5=0.43mm of clearance. Does that seem right? Anyone have experience with these rings or ones with similar heights? Should I be looking for more clearance? Or am I overthinking this? lol. Thanks for the help.

So those have a height of .81" (20.57mm). Going by the the equation above, I won't have any clearance for the flip caps, theoretically.

The objective bell is going to be in front of the rail so you don't need high rings. Low are good.

Here is an example from one of my rifles.

That's a 50mm objective and Millet low rings.

Using Weaver 51S bases and medium Burris signature rings, My HST sits just low enough that lens covers are tight. The Weaver bases are only about a 1/4" tall. If your base is 3/8" tall, you should have room.

The taper of the barrel gives a little more clearance.

I have an FCP-SR with the factory base. I used the Vortex Precision .87 rings with the Vortex HST 6x24x50. I am running the Vortex Defender oil caps and everything fits fine.

Thanks for the suggestions. The rings I went with was the Small Height Seekins. It worked out well. With the eye relief I wanted, the eyepiece barely clears the factory base, but it clears it. So all is good.
