Savage A17 HMR & Byods stock

I am going to buy the Savage A17 MFG #47005 is that a Boyds stock on that rifle or just a clone? If its a clone I am thinking of buying the Savage 47001 and adding the Boyds Featherweight Thumbhole to it myself, Any input would be helpfull. Thanks,
