Stocky's tundra deluxe centerfeed Stevens DBM conversion**work in progress**

I just got another one of Stocky's Tundra Deluxe stocks (for centerfeed) and I'm contemplating converting my blind mag into a DBM. Anybody have experience with this?

So I went ahead and gave the Stevens centerfeed DBM retrofit a chance last night. After removing the bottom metal from a model 11 I have and marking out the profile I fired up the router. I used the router to rough out the overall profile for the conversion then moved on to a rotary tool to clean that up then on to sandpaper. It's still not totally finished yet because I want to bed the action then set the final depth for the magazine to ensure proper feeding. Overall it was a fairly painless retrofit except for the parts from Savage. Below are pics of the conversion progression.

Awesome, I just did a varmint barrel fitting on one. Making a "walkabout" varmint rifle. Not much material to work with on the top side and razor sharp. Keep up the good work.
