I'm new to the forums :P

I've been shooting since I was about 8 years old. First rifle I shot was a Savage in 270. Since then I've shot a ton of different rifles amd handguns, and have started a small collection.

I currently own an older Savage 11 in 7mm08. It's a used gun, I just bought it fromay my step dad who has hunted with it for as long as I can remember. I don't know the exact year it was made, but from what I can find its anywhere from 1995 to 2002, and I'm leaning towards the latter. I was 8 in 1999 and he had both this rifle and the 270, and he had it for a few years before that, so I'd say like 96 or 97 is when he bought it new.

Anyways, I came here to find out more about the rifle, and what I can do with it.

Thanks for the welcomes.

I already got a ton of information on the post I made about my rifle and wanting to change some things up. A lot more than I thought I would get without a serial number (the gun does have one, I just don't know it off the top of my head, and I've been at work for 11.5 hours now with another 4.5 to go. Can't leave either, and I doubt my fiancée would even look at the rifle for me if I asked even super nicely (she always assumes I'm going to spend money when it comes to guns, or other hobbies, even though I usually don't, just collect the info on stuff)
