    model 10 and 110 barrels

Will model 10 and 110 barrels interchange? The model 10 SA barrel is 20 inches and I'm not sure how much use it's had and chambered in 270 WSM. Just wandering if 110 barrels of the same shank size would interchange? I might want to try and find a 24" barrel. Does long or short action even make a difference?

So long as Shank size is the same you are good to go! And obviously long action calibers cant be used on short actions, unless you are building a single shot.

ok I had read on some of the aftermarket barrel pages that their barrels wouldn't fit WSM actions.

For example....my model 10 270 WSM is short action say I wanted to buy a 308 barrel off of a 110 which is a short action also am I going to have fitting problems because my action is a short mag?

Yes, as had been said: original model number and action length isn't the important bit of info on this. Thread spec is. Not all WSM actions were large shank, so that alone isn't a definitive answer. Pull the barrel and measure diabetes of the threads.
I'm a firm believer in the theory that if it bleeds, I can kill it.
