    H4831sc in a .243?

Is anyone using this powder most notably with a 87gr bullet? Got a pound on the shelf and am trying to think out of the box as most of the traditional powders arent working that well. Tell me what you think. Oh ya, stock barrel 22in.

Stock 1:10 twist..... H4831 works well with heavier bullets.

Well I did a ladder test with this bullet powder combo today and it showed some promise. The accuracy node seems to fall somewhere in the lower to mid range charge. Went to book max and did not see any pressure signs so possibly there is another one higher.

On another note 4064 with the same bullet was excellent. shots 14-20 were in the x ring. My final load should fall in there somewhere. I seem to have found the powder I have been looking for. ;D Finally

I have used H4831 in 243 with 90 gr. Speer bullets close to 40 years, when I was buying the powder for $1 a coffee can full, in numerous rifles and still using in rifle I have and 2 or 3 more. has always shot good around 48 to 49 gr. Try it I bet you will like it.
