Hey Everyone, Just picked up a Hardwood Axis in 243 from the local big-box. I immediately got it home and shortened the stock to my preferred length and lightened the trigger a bit and am looking forward to some range time tomorrow. I shot rifles as a kid, and have had a carousel of firearms over the last several years but am finally at a point where I'm buying and keeping. I'm looking forward to having a light-kicking hunting rifle made in the last 70 years as my primary deer gun has been a mosin-nagant I completely rebuilt, and my other is my great-grandad's M1917. I shot competition as a kid, and have taught myself basic gunsmithing along the way. Anyway, just wanted to get a first post up.
