Wondering if anyone had a model 110fcp 338 lapua and decide to strip it down and change calibers was thinking of keeping the action and building a 6.5-284 and if i ever change my mind later i could use action for a edge or something? I measured the bolt head and the only difference i can tell is it is .100 longer then my savage stevens also my bolt assembly fits in and locks down in my lapua a tion but wont lock down in the stevens action due to .100 longer
I don't see why the action wouldn't work. I've been thinking I would like to set mine up to switch back and forth between .338lm and .300wm but I'm worried the magazine setup would be the issue. I don't think they use the same mag and I'm not sure accurate mag makes a 300wm mag for that size of bottom metal. I've tried go ogling it but the results are all Billy Bob wants to convert his 30-06 110 to .338lm and Jimmy Jon says no it isn't safe. All about converting to 338lm rather than from 338lm
