    Savage Axis 6.5 CM Twist Rate?


    I currently own a Savage Axis Heavy Barrel in 6.5 CM and was curious what the Twist Rate is. I always assumed 8, but just looking to double check. Savage does not list it on their site. Thanks.

    1 in 8 is correct. I contacted Savage and about a week later they responded. About 3 days too late Bought a Howa instead

    Howa 1500 probably 4 groove 24" it should be a shooter . wish it was 26 " tho
    My brothers 1500 .308 shur is.
