    East Texas Savage shooter.

Glad to finally find a place that appreciates Savage rifles as much as me.I am from East Texas with plenty of open land, so me and a friend started to get into long range target shooting this summer and since then I have been nothing but a Savage guy. My three rifles are a Savage Axis II Heavy barrel in 6.5 creedmoor I just purchased for $350 on sale, a Savage Heavy barrel in .223 I picked up on black friday for $300, and finally my Savage 110 Trophy hunter in .270. After putting quality scopes on each of them, they all to my surprise perform great and the 6.5 and .270 are easily Sub-MOA, with the 6.5 achieving roughly half MOA with Hornady ELD 140gr ammo, and the .270 gets around 0.7 MOA with federal fusion 130gr. My .223 averages around 1.25 MOA with cheap American Eagles 55gr, but I'm perfectly fine with that for a gun I don't use past 600 yards. Eventually I plan to save up for one of the higher quality Savages and with rigorous practicing, I intend on entering competition shooting.
