450 Bushmaster Feeding Problem

I just installed a 450 Bushmaster barrel on a Savage 11 action that had a 22/250 barrel on it. When I go to feed the 450 cartridges they tip down and hit the front of the magazine. I'm pretty sure it's a center feed action. The barrel is properly inleted so the action fits in the stock properly. Has anyone else experienced this issue? And how did you correct it?
