    Savage 10 FCP-SR 308 5 shot group

Went to the range 11-23 to try out Federal 168 SMKs. Over the past couple of months Ive been able to get a lot time behind the rifle, and it seems like it paid off.
The rifle is a Model 10 FCP-SR, With a Vortex HS-T 6.5-24x 50, Leupold Mark 4 rings, and a Dead Air Sandman Ti. If you have one of these rifles and have not experienced this sort of
accuracy, Just know this is an extremely capable rifle. Each grid square is .25" with the interior area of the Black Squares being 1". Have not measured with calipers,
but the top group i think is close to .2 and the bottom .5- .7 with the cleanbore flier, and without around .25, but i am not 100% certain. any guesses to the correct measurement would be appreciated. Savage is making some outstanding rifles.

    Pretty pleased with this.

    great shooting
I tried FGMM in 168 SMK years ago and got the same results. if I had the money, Id gladly order 1K worth of that stuff.
Took them apart to have alook. 42.8grs of 4064, fed 210m primers and fed match brass that of which I just so happened to have in my possession so I gave it a go and loaded my own. I had to drop .3gr to get the same results.

I just bought my 10 FCP-SR yesterday and seeing this grouping is very encouraging.

    Nice shooting.

I'm using the M118LR recipe in my model 11 Hog Hunter and getting tiny groups as well. These rifles are shooters - love them!

Would anybody be able to provide their velocity for the 168's? I have the same rifle, and a box of 165 SGKs, You could save me a bunch of time looking for the node.. I'm using IMR4064..

Fantastic shooting!!! I sure wish I could have made mine do that! I set up two FCP-SR's and could not get them to group like that. I don't know if it was me or the guns. I tried everything I could think of and finally gave up. I loved them too. They felt great and we very user friendly. I ended up swapping them and getting the 12 LRP in 6.5. I haven't had a chance to work with it yet.
