    I don't think those short barrel nut are always on the large shank barrels, I bought a barrel off a model 12 and it came with a short nut. I was worried it was a large shank but after measuring it, it was the same size as all the other small shank barrels i have.

    I say carry on... my wife always getts pissed whin i bring home a new gun and the first thing i do is take it apart.

    Yup. Found an awesome deal on a 260 barrel SS 26" that is threaded. the gun it would go on was already the way. Couldn't pass up the barrel. If I love the 6.5 stealth, I'll start building a 260. I'll probably try both of them on the stealth and see how they work. Always room for another gun. :)

    if anyone has a large shank action appropriate for 260/6.5CM I'm all ears.
