    New Pony in the Stable

I was perusing the internets a few weeks back and stumbled across an LRP in 260 for sale. I couldn't resist. Needless to say, she now resides in the comfort of my safe.

I also got 60 pieces of Lapua brass, 67 pieces of RP brass, and the 20 moa mount.

I have 4 pounds of RE15 on hand, as well as 500 of the 123 Amax. Load development started today.

I have an SWFA 3-15 on the way and it will be here tomorrow, thanks to the Black Friday sale.

Targets will hopefully be up this weekend.

The 12 LRP is a superb rifle. Good score !

I almost bought a 12 lrp in 243win but passed on it because I do not understand how Savage dares to sell a 243win LR rifle with a 9.25" twist. They need to make them in either a 8" twist or 7.5" twist.

On the other hand, the 6.5mm's have the correct 8" twist.

You probably wouldn't like the 1-10 rebarrel on my 243 LRP then. Shoots bugholes with 75 Vmaxes at 200 yds.

Probably not ideal but that'd probably shoot the 105 Amax pretty good, no?

I would have bought the Creedmoor, but I got a decent deal on this one so I went with it. I got the scope mounted last night. Also found Re19 on sale and according to my good book, I can expect approximately 150fps more with it over the Re15. Hope to find out what it can do this weekend.
