Black Hole Weaponry Savage Pre-Fit Barrel

Any new feedback about these barrels? I don't see them mentioned very often here.
Looking at a new pipe in 300 Win Mag.

Don't know anything about the savage pre-fit, but I've got a black hole weaponry 6.5 CM for my DPMS AR build and it flat out shoots.

I've got an 18" in 5.56 and a 24" in 6x6.8 and the both shoot great. When the Savage needs a new barrel, it will be a BHW. Only problem is I don't see the prefits listed now that they are "Columbia Arms." I also think that 24" may be the longest option.

I found them here and they list a 26" barrel as an option.
    I would get a 24" anyway.

I don't have one on a bolt gun, but I did recently pick one up in 6.5 Grendel for the AR platform. It was used, but I couldn't pass it up for the price. I installed the barrel into one of my existing 223 uppers with a cheap Bushnell scope and took it to the range. After sighting in with my handlaods (made for my other Grendel upper) I shot a 5 shot group less than .5 moa at 100 meters. Was very satisfied + no load development needed.

They make good barrels along with a few others in that price range.

I have started using nothing but BHW barrels on my AR's as well as my savages. My BHW savage barrels shoot better and clean better than criterion and shilen barrels that I have had.

My experience is just the opposite on the Shilen. Its a far smoother barrel and cleans better.

Lyman Boroscope inspection confirms those findings.

Not sure shooting wise as I swapped out the Varmint barrel before I got loads and good enough to see (I am working on it)

I do have an XC, its not as smooth as the Shilen, cleans up about half way between them

It does not matter how rough the barrel is shooting wise, it does make a big difference in how they clean up.

    Not a clue on BHW.

I have one in 6.5cm and 6.5grendel I bought on sale for my AR's and for the money they shoot good. I would consider another for my Savage.

Anyone had any problems ordering from Columbia River? I ordered a ready-to-ship barrel over a month ago and have heard very little since then. I didn't even get an email confirmation. I had to contact contact them to confirm the order!

Blackhole barrels are good to go on my book.
I'm a firm believer in the theory that if it bleeds, I can kill it.

Looks like the new website is still under construction.
