    Build FINALLY done...

As the title says… After about a year, she’s finally finished! Barrel came in on Wednesday, got it swapped last night, and did the headspacing & brake mounting this morning. Already set to reload… gonna’ give the new Hornady 162gr ELD-M’s a try.

    Old flat-back model 10 action (pre-accutrigger) previously in 308
New 24” Shilen S8 profile barrel now in 7mm-08
Sharp Shooter machined lug from Brownells
    XLR Industries Element chassis
    Royal Arms Grip
    Atlas PSR bipod
    Glades Armory bolt handle
    Timney Trigger
    EGW 20MOA rail
Bushnell Tactical Elite ERS MIL scope
    Vortex 34mm rings
    SilencerCo SpecWar762 can

Only thing I've got left is maybe a monopod & some flip-caps for the scope.

I cannot wait to get this out on the bench!!!

Okay, forgive my ignorance. Why do people put diapers on their suppressors? Nice looking rig though!

LMFAO..... Thanks! That's a suppressor wrap for when it warms up from shooting, it helps prevent the heat mirage from distorting your view through the scope.

Nice that you went with the 7mm08. Great cartridge and a good looking package you put together.

Thank you guys!! I was a lurker around here for quite a while doing my research... many of you were the inspiration for this build!

Hit the bench a few nights ago.... JUST in time for the weather to go to absolute crap.

I see. Nice paint job. I'd rather have that color than red or green.

Looks just like a newer rock chucker anyhow.

Oh, I definitely do... I shot it all summer with the old 308 barrel on it while waiting for the Shilen. The rear stock is a PITA to get adjusted, but once dialed in it's great. If (more like when) I get another, I'll probably just get the chassis & try a Magpul PRS on it. One thing I found is that after shooting a nice chassis, it almost feels weird going back to a regular stock rifle...
