I would remove the standing ejector, and switch to the bolthead you need. I think you're right in your thinking.
Hey guys, I have a Mod. 111, 300 Win. Mag. w/ a DBM. I am wanting to convert it to a 6.5X55 Swede or same in AI. I know I need a .308/.30-06 Bolt Head, but the 300 Mag. bolt head is controlled feed with the stationary ejector in back of the action. Do they still make this type bolt head in the .473 I need? If not can I just take the ejector "blade" out of my action and use the newer style "plunger" ejector bolt head?
I have looked through the FAQ section of almost all topics and can't find an answer. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
L.H. Clark

They never made a CRF bolt in .473".
Yep, you're correct. Just take the standing ejector out and use the standard size push feed bolthead.
