    308 vt report


    I have not shot much with this gun lately cost of good ammo and after last few times out no confidence in my shooting! Well to day at 160 plus yards With Winchester 150 grain, Shot 4 groups first was 3 inch group, 3 group was 3 inch group, 3 was 2 inches , last was under an inch and in the middle of 3 inch target, quite packed up went home, cleaned gun happy, happy, happy

    The more you shoot, the better you get, and the barrel will continue to break in.
    Realizing it is expensive to buy and try different ammo, don't be afraid to try different weights and brands. Maybe you could split with a friend. Each rifle will handle ammo in it's own way.

    I assume you shot the least expensive ammo ? If your Savage shoots the very affordable Winchester 150gr PP under 1.5moa, then you got a good one.

    Try the Federal Gold Medal Match 168gr and you'll be grinning ear to ear for a long time.
