Question Working on a 450 Bushmaster......

Very sorry if this has been discussed before. I'd be surprised if it hasn't. However, whenever I try to search for anything, nothing I'm looking for seems to come up in the results.

I'm looking for some insight as to how to convert a staggered feed magazine into a center feed. I've seen some threads on the subject on various sites but not much for definitive DIY type solutions. I'd like to keep it simple (if possible) and economical. Is there any practical way to accomplish this project? I rebarreled a staggered feed Stevens (4.275" spacing) Stevens 200 action to .450 Bushmaster. Everyone tells me (and most info I've read) that cartridges will not stay in the staggered magazine as the bolt is worked. One guy said I just need to change the follower..... For some reason that didn't make a ton of sense but I'm open to ideas.

Thanks for looking. Tried to insert a picture, not sure it worked.

I went to advance search and typed in Bushmaster. Boom! Try it again.
The Dunning-Kruger effect is alive and well.
