    Savage Model 60

I have a Savage Model 60 .22 lr that was given to me by my grandfather so it has a lot of sentimental value. I am having problems with it jamming, and I think I have narrowed it down to I am over lubricating is. Does this make sense? Does the action not require any lubrication?

Any and all advice is appreciated.

    Thank you

Could be but it might be a piece of dirt somewhere as well.

Savage semi auto's of that time period weren't the best made rimfires in my opinion. Lots of stamped thin parts. I've personally had a model 7 go full auto on me all because of a small piece of dirt that got into it.

Thank you for your reply! So in your opinion I need to keep looking for dirt and check for bad parts?
