Savage Centerfield Bolt Action Sears

So one of my Savage shooting buddies damaged his sear when installing a trigger.

Question: Do all Savage centerfire bolt actions use the same sear?

Question 2: Where can he get a new sear, they seem to be sold out everywhere?

This is for a blued, flat top, long action, staggered feed, non-accutrigger action if that makes a difference.

Question 3: I see on another site that the 110/111(139590I) have a different part number sear than the 116 (1349210F) what's up with that?

Question 1. No. If you find a sear that is for a top bolt release, non Accutrigger then it should fit. Some are a two piece sears but they will still work.

Question 3. The 116 is a stainless steel gun but I'm not sure why it would be different from a 110 unless it's stainless as well.

I'm thinking that a sear from a 10 (short action) will also work.

Yeah I saw those, so many different part numbers, are they all the same?

There really is not a lot of difference from one 110 rifle to another with in the same production model. Now are all the sears listed the same, I can't tell you if they are all the same without looking at them, but I believe that any one of those listed in Robinhood's post would work.

One quick question though, How was your friends sear damaged?

Some of the earlier 116's had a plated sear to match the stainless receiver somewhat.
The part numbers listed here are not Savage part numbers.
Midway can assign whatever number they choose to a part, several identical parts can have different part numbers.
You would probably have better luck calling Savage customer service and ordering the following:
SEAR (1 PC.) - P/N: 103871 $11.00
