Why are there 2 front swivel studs on the BTV?

This may be a dumb question, but here goes....why does the BTV come equipped with 2 front swivel posts? Is it to mount a bipod or something?

I would think so too about the Bi pod for one of the studs

1 for bipod, 1 for sling

good to know...just looks a little goofy if you aren't using a sling or a bipod.
