New to 22lr Savage

Hello, thanks for the add. Yesterday I passed a hunters safety ed with a savage mk1 Y. It was my first time shooting a 22, and have fallen in love with the Savage mk1 y single shot. I was a crack shot during the test lol. I'm determined to buy one but wanted some overall opinions of this rifle? How is accuracy 50-100yd? Any drop and go scopes recommended. 19' 'vs 21'' barrel? What are the production years for this rifle? Thanks
