Welcome to the forum. And, is there a reason for your user name that should be shared, lol.
Hello all. I have been lurking around this site for years, and finally decided to become a full fledged member. The wealth of information on this forum is priceless. I am a Tool and Die maker by trade but for the last few years I have been teaching at a Trade School. I have always been in awe of Savage rifles and the out of the box accuracy they offer for the "relatively low" price tag. I have done quite a bit of hand loading and shooting. I have always wanted to attempt more invasive modifications, but never seem to have the time. (Oldest excuse in the book.) I own a model 12 bvss in 22-250 which I adore and prize as much if not more than any rifle in my collection. I have an Axis in 7mm-08 which has proven itself to be a very nice rifle. I also have a little rimfire 22 mag that I bought when I turned 18 it has been my trap line/squirrel/ gun forever without a single problem. If anyone ever asks me what sort of rifle I think they should buy my response is always Savage. Thanks for everything that the members do it, it gives me hope that some day I might be able to attempt some of the projects you all are doing on a daily basis.

Actually my old boss gave me that nickname almost 15 years ago. One time I asked him what my job title was and he said village idiot. Kind of just stick.
