    303 savage ammo

Good evening... hoping to get some suggestions

I have recently purchased a rifle that was on my bucket list... Model 1899. I purchased a gun on consignment from a local gunsmith/refurbish house locally. In fact they have it now doing some clean up work on it now. The serial number is 30098 and dates from 1903 and it is chambered in 303 Savage. My question is regarding ammunition. Realizing there are limited outlets for it does anyone have suggestions where to purchase...

    thank you
    Frank

Try Graf and sons for brass and ammo. I don't think any other brass can be used to form the cases since it's .020 larger than .30-30. I also find ammo in the smaller, mom and pop type gun shops.

I was just told today -- others probably knew this already -- that Hornady is making the .303 Savage brass, and that will help keep some life in that fine old caliber.

And then I think of a couple of nice 'ol 303 99s I've passed on over the years...........

    If you don't reload:

Just pick "Rifle ammo" and pick ".303 British"

You will get a list of online places that carry it.

    Good Luck

I think you meant to say .303 Savage; Savage never made a 1899 or 99 in .303 British.

Thanks for the info... I found some Graff ammo yesterday at a gun show in Buffalo. Supplier said he is asked a lot about vintage and hard to get calibers so he tries to keep many of them
