    Model 14 Safety Question

I just picked up my third Model 14. Its safety is no where as smooth as my other two. Not terrible but takes a bit more effort to click from position to position. Is this just normal manufacturing tolerances from gun to gun? Could a smith smooth is out a tad?

There is a screw on the rear of the trigger that may help. If I remember correctly it is the trigger over travel screw. It must be set to where the trigger cannot let go of the sear but still allows the safety to work. It is a fine line where you find the sweet spot.
The Dunning-Kruger effect is alive and well.

I think I will just let it be. Its not that bad. I would rather be safe than sorry. The good news is this rifle ejects like a champ. My other two need some help.
