You'll have to recock it. I use a flat shaft gunsmith screw driver to hook on to the cocking pin and pull it into the cocking groove. Your having to overcome the spring pressure so it will take a bit of effort.

So it's just a simple matter of getting that pin back into the cocked position. How hard should this be to get back?

break the bolt handle screw loose, back it out, until you can put the cocking piece back where it belongs, on the high side of the cam.

To break the bolt handle screw loose, set the bolt on the floor and step on the handle with your right foot, while step with your left foot on the allen wrench.... the screw comes off like normal, couterclockwise.

I put a cloth on the edge of my bench and then hook the button on it and push down and turn the bolt body. Has worked numerous times for me.

pretty simple! put it on the corner of your bench and push it back into its notch.

    no big deal

I used the bench method it worked thaks. Dang was it tight. Does installing the lift kit make that job any easier. No that I plan on decocking it again during a cleaning anytime soon.

    THANKS ALL GREAT FORUM!!!!
