Action screw spacing, center feed 4.40 ,stagger feed 4.27
Can't seem to come up with the answer through some searching. I must be using wrong search criteria. Trying to figure out the difference in after market stocks(namely wood, like a Boyds) with a blind mag, for center feed vs stagger feed. Is the only difference the amount of inletting for the magazine to fit. Would a stagger feed stock have a larger cavity than a stock inletted for center feed. Could you use a center feed action on a stagger feed stock? Or visa versa with some additional inletting?
Action screw spacing, center feed 4.40 ,stagger feed 4.27
The stagger feed 4.4 spacing is raaare. I have seen many people just type everything they can to get you to buy there stuff.
There are differences in mag box location and size even though the long action screw spacing is the same between the two types of magazines. Some have moved screw holes on stocks so they can be used on a different screw spaced action.
The Dunning-Kruger effect is alive and well.
So the difference is the mag box location as well as the size and shape? This would indicate you couldn't use a stagger feed stock even if the screw spacing were 4.40.
