    Model 1917 markings

I recently purchased a Model 1917 that was in nice condition in the 29xxxB serial number range. On the left side just above the grip panel there is a struck marking of PQ. L-511. I can not find any reference to and additional factory markings for this pistol. Any help would be appreciated...

With a serial number like that it must be a .380.

Is there a lanyard hole on the bottom of the grip anywhere?

It is a .380. No lanyard hole that I can see.
