Older savage anything special about it?

I have a lefty 110DL Savage in 7mm mag. Good shape and is serial A314539. has 22" barrel and reddish thin buttpad with Indian and SAVAGE on it. Looks like pressed in skip line checkering. Is this one to keep in original shape or a candidate for rebarreling?

The 110D/DL was the Deluxe model with a walnut stock and checkering. Yours was made in October of 1969. As for whether to keep it stock or rebarrel, that's totally up to you. Generally it's the pre-1966 ones with the old-style shrouded bolt that we discourage modifying.
