Box for my 12FV has two different tags with different caliber designations

Not a big thing, but, the Box from Savage has two tags on it with "conflicting" information. The Savage Arms tag says 01282 MOD 12FV 223 REM.
A smaller tag right next to it says GUN SAVAGE 243 WIN BOLT HVY. Both TAGS show the same serial number (G91***). The rifle most definitely is .223 Do you think the store just mis-tagged it or does it mean something about this rifle. thanks rc (a one week savage 12FV shooter)

Could be anything under the sun. Since the rifle physically matches what the factory tag indicates then anything else is some type of mistake in labeling. What matters is it left the factory properly labeled. When the second label was done, where it was done and who done it is unimportant information.
