I am looking into doing a build. I found a savage 300wm side mag release. I would like to purchase a aftermarket stock 110 blind mag model. Is the conversion easy and what do I need to make this happen?
You would need a magazine and follower if the action has the slots for it. The mag attaches to the action via tabs on the front and rear of the mag.
This article shows you a little about what you are looking into. It is a stagger feed system and you will need a stock designed for the stagger feed magazine. The screw spacing is the same as the Center feed but on most stocks the madwell is in a different location ie... front to rear.

The Dunning-Kruger effect is alive and well.
For what it's worth...I did a conversion of a blind magazine stock to side release once. Drilled a hole in the stock side and beveled it so the button worked etc....finally got it to work sorta ok but would not do it again. Below is an older post that might be of help.
