Ok I finally got all my parts in for my first build and everything was going great until the scope was mounted. The rear talley ring is touching my magnification ring on my scope. Is there another variation of talley one piece ring to fix this? Should I file off a portion of the base to make it fit? Everything will be cerakoted so I don't mind filing off part of the base if that isn't frowned upon. Here are the pics

I think I may have found a solution if I get the extended version of these rings I think that would allow me to move the scope back a little.

If that is the correct location for proper and comfortable eye relief, then you'll be moving into a slightly unnatural position by moving the entire scope back. In that case, I would file or dremel off a bit of the rear base. If you can move the scope back without throwing off your eye relief, then the extended mount will probably work.Originally Posted by ScottS
