recoil eliminator

what gives I just bought a jp recoil eliminator 5/8 x 24 thread and it wont thread onto my savage 5/8 x 24 threaded barrel goes on a few threads and locks up tight whats the problem?

Does rifle have a thread protector? Does it thread on good? If so send back the break.

got my new jp tank and this 1 fits my stealth 6.5, cant wait to shoot lol but I have to waiting on gun cleaning stuff

You recieved the 5/8- 28 version. Send it back and get the correct one. I would use a thread gauge to verify the threads on the barrel but pretty sure ..........
