6.5x47 Lapua feeding ???

Hello everyone, I have a Savage 10FCP with the HS stock in 308. I want to do a Pacnor prefit barrel for it, 6.5x47Lapua. Will the 6.5x47 Lapua case with some kind of 130gr. or 120gr bullet maybe 123gr amax feed ok in the factory Mag? Is the 6.5x47 too fat or too short to feed in the Mag intended for 308 cases?

yes it should feed fine, they are very close to 22-250 size.

Your only dealing with 4mm between the 308 Win (7.62x51 NATO) and 6.5x47 Lapua. That's less than 1/6" another words +1/8". Not a stretch for the short actions where the 308 is about the maximum case length. Gives you little more room to leave bullets seated long for larger powder charges using heavy bullets. One of those hidden blessings.
