Savage Model 720 Serial Number Question

I am looking at what is advertised a Savage Model 720 twelve gauge shotgun. It shows as being made in Chicopee Falls, Massachusetts. The seller advises that it has a six digit serial number. All the information I can find on the Model 720 indicates a five digit serial number, not six. Anyone out there ever come across one with a six digit serial number ? Thanks

Mine has five digits, but there is a two digit prefix for the gauge. I believe this appears above the serial number. That might be the source of the confusion,
