Can not get bolt in gun

    Hi,

I just bought an oversized bolt handle for my model 11. Installed on bolt handle with no problem. Now I can only get the bolt to go half way into rifle. Appears that a black button looking thing hanging out of bottom of bolt is hitting safety. I must be doing something wrong. Maybe bolt is cocked and shouldn't be? I'm stuck and any help would be appreciated.

Just the opposite, the bolt needs to be cocked.

My model 11 is left handed. I also have a Stevens 200. On my 200 this small blued button is on the right side. On my #11 it is pointed down. I'm sure it needs to be on the left side. Just don't know how to get it there?

A lot easier than going through trigger and sear issues.
Glad you only needed the simple "fix".

Hacr to load the spring. Catch that black button on the corner of a bench and slide it up the cocking ramp.
