    Finally got some good groups.

Got to go the range yesterday with my 6br I put together a little while back.
I first started shooting it without bedding/pillars and it was in my opinion so-so. So...I bedded/pillared it. Still kinda so-so. Dont get me wrong, it was under an inch mostly but the groups just weren't what I'd hoped for. Found a decent load and took it to the savageshooters shoot in April and it shot decent enough...hit steal @1k.
Added a cheek rest thinking this will for sure help my consistency. Still...not much better.
Loads were with Varget and either 107gr smk or 105gr Amax. Smk was .020 off and amax was .010 off.
I got hold of some rel15 and gave it a try with the amax, and for kicks tried the 87gr vmax (0.10 off)with varget. I also placed my rifle on the front rest a little different.
    Here are the results.
    105gr amax and rel15

    87gr vmax with Varget

Im really happy with it, these are just 3 shot groups, I was just trying to see if any of the loads were worth pursuing, and I think I got my answer 😆.
Whatever I was doing right it was fairly consistent because before I saw the target I could tell if I pulled.

Nice! It feels good to finally get results after all of your efforts. I have been through a few gun project struggles myself.

Thanks guys! I'm pretty happy with it.
    Thanks rb! I'm hoping so!
LR....no sir, haven't messed with seating depth changes yet. Was really trying to minimize variables. I'll start messing with that soon. Well...as soon as I get my die back from forster. Those loads were the last 40 or so pieces of brass I had after I sent my die off.

    Try this

Lapua brass, 30gr Varget, either a 105 berger VLD or my favorite 105 lapua scenar L jammed 0.010 to 0.015 into the lands.

Might take minor powder charge adjustments but if that doesn't get you consistently in the 2's something is wrong.
