bolt head swap

I have SS short action, top bolt release, large shank action, Got it for 300wsm build, but found complete rifle for sale here right after purchase. It has magnum bolt head for 300wsm. I am wanting to go with a .308 class size. What would be best way to go? Use the same bolt body and buy new bolt head? Would firing pin have to be changed? Or swap out everything and end up with spare complete bolt.
