It takes a real woman to appreciate a heavy barrel 308 on a hs precision. Congrats!
Also, I am digging the color, well done!

Thank you guys. I duracoated the stock opposite at first (black with purple decals). The overspray made it look like crap. So for anyone doing similar airbrushing spray the base coat first then stencil the black

Ps: those are nice boots lol

Nice rifle. My wife has been hovering over my iPad with disdain as I scrolled savage shooters and she even said she liked it lol

Nicely done! And I do like a sweet, custom paintjob. The caduceus looks nice and clean too, which had to have been a chore. With that mark, I imagine that rifle will send a few deer to the underworld.

I'm sure it will lol. My wife is actually a nurse so this was more tailored towards that.

    I wanted a personal touch

Finally got to load and do some testing with her rifle. I told you I'd be back with results and here they are.

I've fired 5 rounds total as of today (not joking)

2 to get a close 100 yard zero. And one 3 shot group that is shown in the pictures. This is the most forgiving rifle I've built yet, or I'm just getting better at this stuff. I had 6 sets of reloads to test but only needed to test one. The rest will now be pulled and loaded to these specs.

3 rounds inside 1/4" at 100 yards. The dime in the pic covered the group completely.

    Lapua brass
    Cci 200 primer
150gr Sierra game king bullet .020" off lands
    42.5 gr IMR 4064

Thank you for all the kind words on this build. Everything turned out very well
