Will this HS Precision Stock work for my Savage 10 Build.

Ok so I'm going to be doing my first bolt action rifle build.

I have this donor coming I got off GB a Savage 10 .243

Went ahead an order this HS Precision Stock from stocky stocks. I'm pretty sure it will work but the color is I want is back-ordered and figured I would check here in the meantime.

    I ordered the PSV118 Model 4.40" DM.

It will have a 20" 7mm08 Bull Barrel.

I think I got it right but I've thought that plenty of times before, lol.

And after doing this thread, I realize I ordered the wrong one. I changed it to the BM instead of the DM. Glad it was out of stock! lol

I believe you may have ordered the wrong one again. The Blind mag is a 4.27 screw spacing.
The Dunning-Kruger effect is alive and well.

Thanks for the reply but after a bit more researching I think it is actually 4.27" They just call it 4 1/4? Check it out...

    Yours looks like a 4.4
The one you ordered is for a 4.27.
If yours is not a 4.4 you are good to go.
Some people do not know the difference between the two and cant see the 1/8(.125) inch difference.

You have 6 post and that tells me there is a possibly you may not recognize the difference.
It is possible that you could teach me much about Savages, I just don't know and was trying to help you.

wellbilldancesays , I have an older Model 12FV that had the original plastic stock on it. I just yesterday received my new HS Precision stock from Stockys. It is WAAAAY nicer than the old stock. Yes, my older action is one of the 4.27, blind magazine models. The stock I ordered was the PSV102. It took 8 weeks from date of order, & that is what I was told by Stockys. I just wish I'd ordered it sooner. I actually have several Remington 700's with HS-P stocks, & I personally like them a lot! I do have one more 12 FV, 4.27" blind mag action in a laminated VLP stock which is nice, but, it could possibly get swapped for another HS Precision before its all done... From personal experience, be patient, the stock should be worth your wait. The only issue with my new stock is the front sling stud is off center a bit, but, since my Harris bipods are all swivel models, I don't see it being a huge problem. Idaho-45
