    Looking for a savage part

Hello I just purchased a savage 18897, long range hunter. One of the bolts for the adjustable cheek piece on the stock is missing the Allen head side, the carriage bolt is there. Can you please point me in the right direction to find this part that is missing. Thanks.

    Go Here

Enter your Serial #. Find the part. Order from Savage.
The Dunning-Kruger effect is alive and well.

Take the other one out ,
Go to the hardware store (a real hardware store not the big box)
    Have them match it up.
A good wife and a steady job has ruined many a great hunter.

Well thanks for the info guys. I type in the serial number and it brings up the same part fiche that's in the owners manual and it doesn't show the cheek riser let alone the attachment hardware. I will give savage a shout if not I guess it's off to the hardware store. Thanks again for your help.

Try clicking on the accessories tab in the parts finder, you may find it there if Savage has their stuff together....

    Savage shipping is a killer

Last time I order a cocking piece pin, the shipping was $10 flat rate for a $.77 part.

If you can, go to the hardware store for it. Savage's shipping is ridiculous
