Many changes in my life, now I am back.
Interest;
1. mainly range shooting for accuracy
2. Working on Savages for accuracy
3. Hunting.
Presently have:
Varmint model 12BTCSS - Barrels in 204 Ruger. Benchmark, Criterion, and original Savage. In 223 Shilen.
Target Action - Savage F class stock (stock was a cheapy used) Barrels: 204 Ruger Criterion, 223 Shilen, 2 ea. 222 Shilen.
Current project Older 110 in 270. Shilen 35 Whelen barrel on order. I have (couldn't resist) fired the 270 for performance and averaged 1.5", 100 yd, 3 shot groups. Now I have full floated barrel and epoxy bedded the action. Putt my Leupold 40X scope (normally on my varmint model) on it and may get to the range today or Monday. Hope to have it built for a black bear hunt?
Other rifles:
Rem 700 w/ Benchmark 7MM Remmag barrel. 2 elk so far.
CZ452 w/Benchmark barrel 22LR
Volquartsen 17HMR
Rem 1100 shotgun
Ruger American 22lr plinker ( not accurate) Read somewhere of a Benchmark barrel replacement by a dissatisfied user.
I, as others, am addicted to Savage actions and custom barrels.
