Welcome aboard
Hello,
I live in Scotland where I shoot driven birds, wildfowling, deer stalking as well as general pest shooting, foxes, rabbits etc.
Having taken an interest in longer range shooting and discovering the limitations of a lightweight stalking rifle (Steyr Mannlicher Classic American .308) at longer ranges I have acquired a Savage Model 12 F/TR in .308 in a Choate Ultimate Varmint stock - hence my joining in here.

You don't know what you don't know.
Welcome Jaeger,
I have a Model 12 BVSS in .223 REM and a second in .308 WIN. They both have the factory stock, but I love the rifles.
They are heavy buggers with the varmint barrel but very functional. The Choate stocks are great, a friend of mine has one.
Have a great season, HalfTrack
Your going to like it here. Site is a wealth of knowledge.
Welcome!
