    Hi New guy from Western PA


    Hi, I have been a full time Corrections Officer in a state prison here in PA since I got out of the Army in 2005. I served as a MP in the Army from 1999 to 2005 and was deployed to Iraq from 2003 to 2004. I like to build and modify my guns and am pretty bored with the AR platform so after spending a ton of money on a custom bolt gun I decided to research what I can do with a couple Savage rifles I took on trade. To be up front I recently got my FFL/SOT and set up shop in my work shop here beside my house to keep busy while my wife works on her masters. I am not here for commercial reasons, only to research the Savage platform every thing I have read has pointed me here.

    My wife and children enjoy shooting and hunting with me and am mostly focused on teaching them and maintaining my training for my full time job. For fun we shoot trap and skeet, steel with pistols, long range and cqb rifle, and hunt on our cousins farm near by. I love to hunt ground hogs and also am starting to learn predator hunting. I usually spend most of my evenings in the shop working on guns and selling them but also get to play with some pretty cool toys when they come through.
