I have a Savage 93R17 heavy barrel in a Boyd's Barracuda stock. Only the rear 2" of the barrel are in contact with any wood at all.
I am looking at possibly picking up a Boyd's Barracuda stock for my 93R, but have a question about the barrel contour. The barrel channel on the Boyd's is listed at 13/16", or .81", where the channel on the original stock measures at .68". Is this enough to cause issues with accuracy and appearance, or am I just being OCD about less than a .2" difference? I'm just trying to figure this out before I drop the money only to find out that I made a horrible mistake.
Thanks in advance!
