Some have gotten as much a 4,500 rounds, some less, some more. You will know when it's time to set it back, or get another one. A 6br is very easy on barrels, making it one of the most attractive barrels around no matter which brand you get.

I've got an 8 twist McGowen bull barrel in 6BR that has been a stellar performer since day one. I've got about 3000 rounds through it and it is still putting out sub .25" five shot groups at 100 yards. What is the expected life of a high end barrel?

Typically takes about 13 lbs of powder to render a good barrel non competitive.....you're almost there.
