Hello Everyone, I'm here to learn.

Hello everyone, Thank you for letting me be a part of Savage shooters. Lol

I have become a deer hunter in Southern Michigan recently after 40 years of Northern Michigan hunting where any rifle is legal. In the lower part of Michigan the rules allow certain caliber rifles, .450 Bushmaster is one. I had an AR built with the 450, great round, shot a nice Buck, dislike the AR as a hunting rifle. I would love to find someone in SouthWest Michigan that has the experience and is willing to help me and teach me how to rebarrel a Savage to .450 Bushmaster. I see that there are several builders out there selling finished products and I am also trying to gather information if it would just be better to go buy one of theirs?

    Thank you.

Welcome aboard. I am also fairly new to Savage, but with the help of this forum and youtube I have rebarrelled one of my rifles. Once you get the nut wrench and go/no go gauges, it's about a 30 minutes process. It was simple. You have come to the right place.
